Below is a list of all the most common questions regarding products, orders, and returns. If your question is not answered below, our customer service is happy to help!
Delivery
How long does delivery take?
All deliveries to EU are made within 2-6 business days under normal circumstances.
Orders placed before 10 am are generally sent the same day.
What if my product is damaged during transport?
Send us a picture of the damaged product to info@paintbynumbers.fi. Our customer service will handle the issue on a case-by-case basis and fairly.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver everywhere in Europe within 2-6 business days.
Do you also deliver to Åland?
We do not deliver to Åland.
Products
Where are the products manufactured?
All our other products are manufactured in China except for diamond paintings and number paintings made from your own picture, which are manufactured in Finland.
Do your diamond paintings have round or square diamonds?
All our diamond paintings except postcards use square diamonds.
Number painting questions
What is the difference between Diamond Painting and Paint by Numbers?
Diamond Painting involves placing plastic diamonds in a marked spot, whereas in Paint by Numbers, the numbered areas are painted with correspondingly numbered acrylic paint.
The paint is stiff, can it be thinned with water?
Paints can be thinned with water. Even a couple of drops have a significant effect on the paint's flow and painting feel, try what suits you best. We have found 2 drops per color to be good if you want a little more flow in the paints.
Should the frame be installed before or after painting?
Either is fine, but we recommend framing before painting. The painting stays better in place when framed, and painting is more comfortable if the canvas is slightly taut. If you don't have a frame, no worries, you can, for example, tape the canvas to the worktable and paint. After painting, you can frame it with a frame of your choice.
Do paints expire?
Paints last at most about half a year unopened and stored at room temperature. Once the jars are opened for the first time and you want to take a break from painting, we recommend that you close the lids tightly and put the jars in a sealed plastic bag to keep them as long as possible.
Are the paints oil or acrylic-based?
The paints that come with the products are water-based acrylic paints.
The product came with a paper copy of the canvas. What do I do with it?
If the color code on the canvas accidentally gets covered with the wrong color and you can't make it out anymore, you can use the paper copy to help identify which color should be used for that area.
Diamond Painting questions
Is the wax that comes with the kit enough for the entire project?
Yes, it is! Usually, there is plenty of wax left over, change the wax in the pen only if the diamonds no longer stick to it.
How many diamonds are there in one diamond painting?
It depends entirely on the size of the diamond painting, but in the most common size, which is 40x50cm, there are 32,000 diamonds. So, there's plenty to keep you busy for a longer time :)
Is it necessary to lacquer the diamond painting at the end?
It is not necessary to lacquer, but finishing lacquer gives it a nice shine and a pleasant conclusion to the project that you can be proud of.
Can the protective film be completely removed from the diamond painting?
No, only remove the protective film enough to complete that size area at a time. This way, the adhesive surface of the diamond painting does not dry out.
Returns
Can the product be returned?
All our products have a 14-day return policy. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
You can return an intact, unopened, and unused product in its original packaging within 14 days of the delivery date by mailing it to our warehouse. Please contact our customer service if you wish to return the product.
Is the return free?
We do not offer free returns unless the product is defective. If the product is defective, please contact our customer service for return instructions for a free return.
Is it easy to return?
We have agreements with freight companies, so the return is really easy. Just send us an email if you want to return the product, and we will send you instructions for the return.
Payments
What payment methods are available in your online store?
Payment options include online banking payment buttons for all Finnish banks, card payments, mobile payments, and invoices. You can choose the payment method at checkout.
