Ah, finally it’s that time again when I get to relax with a new Paint By Numbers painting project. I take out the supplies onto my work surface, set the light towards the canvas where I have already managed to paint a few spots, and before I can say anything, I notice that one of the paint jars was left open from the last painting session and there’s only a memory left of the moist paint.
Does this sound familiar? What should be done?
Tips for Storing Paint
An open paint jar dries quickly
Use only one paint at a time and remember to close the paint jar tightly as soon as you no longer use that paint. At the end of the painting session, it’s good to check that all jars are securely closed!

Store paint jars in an airtight place away from light
A tight plastic container works excellently for storing paints as well. You can store Paint By Numbers paints and Diamond Painting diamonds in the same container! As a quick solution for storing paints, a plastic bag can also work.
If the paint dries out for some reason, try thinning it with a couple of drops of water.

Use creativity
An unfinished work can be saved with an extra 24-piece Acrylic Paint Set which can conveniently patch a small area of the painting. You can also use the paints freely to add new details as you wish!
Please note that the color shades of the acrylic paint set may differ from the original painting's colors.
